At TCF, we are blessed with a vibrant church family spanning all ages. Our Sunday School is a joyful and safe space where children can learn about the love God has for them and his teachings.
Why Sunday School?
In today’s fast-paced world, having a dedicated time to teach and nurture children in faith is more vital than ever. Bringing up children in the Christian faith is increasingly met with influences and opinions from education, peers, and secular media. Sunday School provides an opportunity for children to grow in their understanding of God’s Word, develop lifelong friendships, and experience the joy of being part of a Christian community.
By engaging with Bible stories, participating in worship, and sharing their thoughts and questions, children develop a foundation that helps guide their faith journey.
What to Expect at TCF Sunday School
We love being together as a church family and begin our Sunday service all together—with all ages united in worship. Just before the Bible talk, the children head off for their Sunday School sessions, and we reunite as a church family at the end of the service.
Our Sunday School offers:
- Crèche for Babies and Toddlers: A safe space for the youngest members of our church family. A separate nursing room is also available with a live videolink to the service.
- Preschool Group: Engaging Bible stories and creative crafts for curious little minds.
- School-Age Groups: Age-appropriate groups where children can grow friendships, enjoy Bible teaching, play games, participate in crafts, and learn memory verses.

A Journey Through the Bible
We follow a structured teaching program that takes children through the Bible, exploring both Old and New Testament stories. Recently, the children have learned about God’s incredible rescue of His people through stories about Joshua and Gideon. There have been lively re-enactments of marching, trumpet-blowing, and walls tumbling down, along with joyful craft activities like creating colourful torches.
Our Leaders: Learning and Growing Together
Our dedicated leaders take turns teaching so that they can also stay in the service to hear the Bible talk on some weeks. Preparing and delivering lessons is a spiritual journey in itself as leaders reflect on the Bible’s core messages and memory verses. The children’s enthusiasm is infectious, and we love seeing their engagement with the stories as we learn and grow together.
Building Connections Beyond Sundays
The children of our Sunday School have been joyfully involved in wider church activities. They played a vital role in our Easter Video Series, sharing the hope of resurrection, and brought warmth and delight to our Nativity celebrations, reminding us of the joy of Christ’s birth. There is even a Christmas party each year! These experiences help children understand that their faith journey is not just confined to Sunday mornings but is part of a larger, loving church community.
