Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new Prayer Team at Tayside Christian Fellowship (TCF), starting after Easter 2025. This team is another step forward in our church’s strong commitment to prayer, providing a dedicated opportunity for anyone to receive personal prayer support after each Sunday service.
Who Will Be Available?
Each Sunday, the Prayer Team will consist of:
- One of the church elders
- A female team member
- A male team member
They will be available at the front of the church after the service to pray with anyone who would like support, whether it’s about a specific issue or simply a desire to seek God’s help and guidance.
Who Is This For?
The team is here for everyone. Examples include:
- Visitors – whether you’re attending for the first time or visiting occasionally, you’re warmly invited to come forward for prayer.
- New Christians who may want prayer as they begin their journey of faith.
- Members of the congregation facing specific challenges, decisions, or needs.
- Anyone who simply feels led to seek prayer on a Sunday.
Whether it’s a need for comfort, healing, guidance, or praise, we encourage you to make use of this ministry.
Prayer at the Heart of TCF
This new initiative builds upon the vibrant prayer life already present at TCF. Prayer is central to who we are as a church family, and there are many ways to connect:
- A Monthly Prayer Meeting – on the 4th Wednesday evening of every month there is a prayer meeting held at the church, featuring speakers and missionaries with specific items for prayer.
- The Monthly Prayer Diary – a prayer diary which schedules and facilitates daily prayer for each other as a church family.
- Special Prayer Request WhatsApp Group – where urgent needs and events are shared for immediate prayer support.
- Women’s Whatsapp Group with a strong prayer focus.
- Evening Zoom Prayer Meetings – connecting from home to pray together for Christianity Explored.
- Friday Morning Prayer Meeting at the church building.
- Sunday Pre-Service Prayer Meeting – gathering to pray before worship begins.
- TCF Home Groups – where prayer is part of weekly fellowship and study.
If you would like to join any of these prayer opportunities or learn more, feel free to speak to one of the elders or someone you know at TCF.
Come As You Are
We believe in the power of prayer and in a God who listens. Whether you’re new to faith, have been walking with the Lord for years, or are simply curious, you are warmly invited to take part.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
