On the 7th of February, over 40 men tucked into a hearty cooked breakfast, marking the launch of a new Men’s Group. It was great to have all ages represented; we are indeed blessed to have such an age range of men in TCF. What struck me most was the easy way in which the men chatted, worked together and shared life. Perhaps the formula is simple – keep men fed and all will be well!

After the breakfast, Peter gave a short message from James 2, about faith without works being dead. It was interesting that a couple of non-Christian men commented on the appropriateness of the message to them.

In previous TCF men’s meetings, the verse, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17) became our key verse. We hope to act similarly as we move into a new Men’s Group for the year ahead. The planned events will be mainly social, with built-in opportunities to share the Word of God. A calendar of activities will be due out in March so that the men can plan ahead.
